About the Role...

We are currently seeking a highly skilled, motivated and hands on Housekeeping 2IC to help head up the team in Sydney- NSW. The role is critical to the success of this hotel. The 2IC will cover the Housekeeping Managers days off, and will do supervision  the other days. Great opportunity to upskill and learn to become a Housekeeping Manager in the future. Must be available weekends.

About You...

You will have a friendly and enthusiastic attitude, with the ability to have positive involvement and interaction with both guests and the overall Hotel team.

MUST be available to work a rotating roster

Possess full Australian working rights

Excellent grooming and presentation

To succeed in this role you will need the following skills and attributes:

• Passionate and consistent, with excellent attention to detail
• Show proven effective and positive inter-departmental relationships with previous hotel teams, including General Manager, front office and Maintenance
• Demonstrated Leadership skills: lead the team from the front, drive performance and productivity
• Excellent staff management to drive performance excellence in quality and productivity including training, development, rostering, work allocation and performance improvement
• Strong Time management skills
• Accurate record keeping in relation to room counts/payroll & billing, and proven previous management of daily payroll to ensure compliance with the Hospitality Industry General Award
• Ability to maintain the standard operating procedures within the department and in accordance with CLIENTS requirements
• Experience in leading workplace safety, adhering to policies of the CLIENT and LUXXE. Assume responsibility and accountability for the health and safety of employees and for the working environment
• A demonstrated hands on approach within a 4 or 5 star Housekeeping Department conducting daily room inspections to ensure duties have been completed to meet service standards and guaranteed arrival times
• Previous experience with outsourcing

Comprising 181 rooms this luxurious hotel offers affordable luxury to all in an efficient space that requires no compromises. Little National Hotel was conceived for the business, conference and leisure guest who demands smart luxury and high amenity in a super-prime location but at a rate that allows for greater enjoyment of the other facilities offered by the thriving heart of Newcastle’s Honeysuckle Precinct. Uniquely positioned on Honeysuckle Drive, the hotel enjoys views onto Hunter River and surrounds. To succeed in this role you will need the following skills and attributes:

• Passionate and consistent, with excellent attention to detail
• Show proven effective and positive inter-departmental relationships with previous hotel teams, including General Manager, front office and Maintenance
• Demonstrated Leadership skills: lead the team from the front, drive performance and productivity
• Excellent staff management to drive performance excellence in quality and productivity including training, development, rostering, work allocation and performance improvement
• Strong Time management skills
• Accurate record keeping in relation to room counts/payroll & billing, and proven previous management of daily payroll to ensure compliance with the Hospitality Industry General Award
• Ability to maintain the standard operating procedures within the department and in accordance with CLIENTS requirements
• Experience in leading workplace safety, adhering to policies of the CLIENT and LUXXE. Assume responsibility and accountability for the health and safety of employees and for the working environment
• A demonstrated hands on approach within a 4 or 5 star Housekeeping Department conducting daily room inspections to ensure duties have been completed to meet service standards and guaranteed arrival times
• Previous experience with outsourcing

About the Role...

We are currently seeking experienced Housekeeping Managers to head up our teams in multiple locations across Australia. The role is crucial to the success of the hotels and involves managing all housekeeping operations, ensuring guest satisfaction and compliance of hotel standards. 

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Minimum of a Diploma- level qualification in hospitality management or related field.
• At least two years of work experience in a similar Housekeeping Manager role, preferably within a 4 or 5 star environment

About You...

To be successful in the role, you must 

• Demonstrate strong Leadership skills: Lead the team from the front, drive performance and productivity
• Be available to work on a rotating roster when required.
• Possess full Australian working rights.
• Have excellent grooming and standards.
• Show strong management and organizational skills.
• Have experience managing staff, including recruitment, development, rostering, and performance improvement.
• Have a solid understanding of workplace safety policies and responsibilities.
• Possess experience managing room counts, payroll, and daily compliance with the Hospitality Industry General award.
• Be familiar with outsourcing processes (Highly desirable)
